Chef Razia Sabour was born in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1970. Chef Sabour graduated from high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where she studied vocal music, which she loved every minute of.

Upon graduating high school, Chef Sabour received a music scholarship to attend Indiana University, but then realized that a career in music would not be a good fit for him. While at IU, Sheff Sabour began majoring in vocal performance and then moved on to family studies, human development, and psychology.

Chef Sabour found happiness in devoting 9 years of his life to social work. However, after the birth of her first daughter, Laila, she began to see herself in a chef’s coat and didn’t realize why. She began looking for a less rigorous program and eventually became a chef.

Razia Sabour has started her career from a social worker to a full time chef. He showed his interest towards cooking from an early age. Chef Sabour remembers that both his parents were accomplished cooks, but his father, in particular, was one of the head chefs of his division in the Army.
